Focusing on Recycling for a Sustainable Future

For Şişecam, every broken piece of glass is a new life. With the awareness of our goal to transition to a recycling society and our responsibility to the environment, we established Şişecam Çevre Sistemleri A.Ş. in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in 2016. With this step, we are positioning ourselves among the industry's pioneers in glass waste collection and recycling. Between 2011 and 2025, a total of 2.5 million tonnes of glass were recovered in Türkiye, including waste glass collected for recycling and furnace-ready cullet procured for production. Through our ongoing glass recovery efforts, we contribute to increasing the use of secondary raw material resources in our manufacturing processes.
